Acceptable Use

These rules exist to keep the service lawful for everyone using it.

You may not

Configure ClerkBird to deny that it is an AI, to suppress the recording disclosure, or to impersonate a specific person.

Use ClerkBird to give legal advice, to quote fees as if from an attorney, or to represent that a firm has accepted a matter.

Connect phone numbers you are not authorised to direct, or use the service for outbound calling campaigns. ClerkBird v1 answers inbound calls only.

Use the service to collect information you are not lawfully permitted to collect, or in a manner that violates the professional rules of the jurisdictions you practise in.

Enforcement

We audit a sample of calls each week for compliance with the guardrails described in our documentation. Accounts configured to defeat those guardrails will be suspended.

This page describes how ClerkBird works and is not legal advice. Laws on call recording, AI disclosure and the unauthorized practice of law vary by state and change. Have your own counsel review how you use ClerkBird in the jurisdictions where you practise.
