Legal intake
Intake finished on the first call
Intake that waits for a callback is intake that never happens. ClerkBird collects the facts while the caller is still on the line, screens the matter against rules you set, and books the consultation — or declines it kindly, which is worth almost as much.
What a real intake flow looks like
- Let them say why they called. The first thirty seconds are the caller’s. Interrupting to start a form loses people.
- Name and callback number first. If the call drops after this point, you still have a lead.
- The facts that decide the matter — date of incident, charge, filing deadline, custody status — one at a time.
- Screen against your rules. An incident outside the statute window should not become a consultation.
- Book, transfer or take a message, and tell the caller exactly what happens next and when.
What it never does
It does not tell a caller whether they have a case, what it is worth, what it will cost, or what they should do next. Those are the questions that turn intake into unauthorized practice of law, and the agent answers all of them with the same sentence: that is a question for the attorney. Twenty calls a week are audited by hand against that rule.
